The location offers great access to the beach, providing beautiful views and a pleasant atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast, although basic, is a welcome addition to the stay.
Check-in was chaotic, with no staff available to assist, leaving guests to rely on a bar patron for help. The room had issues, including poorly maintained curtains with mold, an unclean toilet, and a generally unpleasant smell. Noise from the adjacent bar kept many guests up until the early hours, and some rooms had troublesome door locks.

Good hot breakfasts, delightfully helpful staff.
Reasonably priced accommodation with ideal setting near the beach to Omapere, Koutu Boulders and the historic pub.

We had a great time. It was a last minute overnight trip to show my partner around Opononi. We had a great time. Even though the weather wasnt great we stayed in and went to the hotel for a meal and watch the rugby. Staff were awesome. Very friendly. Thank you

I liked the view from the room. The food in the restaurant was good quality
The noise from the road and the courtyard. No ventilation in the bathroom. Our biggest disappointment was the noise from band until well past midnight, bandmembers shouting and drinking on deck until 4.30am and then running through the hotel corridor and trying different doors of rooms including the one some friends were staying in. A door next to our room which was meant to be closed after a certain time was kept open right through the night and used by bandmembers. Then at 6.00 am they were all up again to leave. We had very little sleep that night and no staff member intervened to stop the noise.

The Opononi hotel provided a pleasant experience, particularly with the comfortable Standard Twin Room that met my needs for relaxation during my business trip. I appreciated the warm and inviting atmosphere of the bar, where I enjoyed a decent meal. The location offers a beautiful view which enhanced my stay.
Noise from the bar could be disruptive during late hours.

View, and suited our purpose. We stayed there in past and love it.
Rear Parking, On Saturday night we were unable to fine a car park at the rear and the front park was close off. We later found out staff and band members had taken up most parking at rear of building.
